Developers introduced the Murasaki-Backup language model

On the Hugging Face platform, a new language model release took place, Murasaki-Backup. The model is oriented towards local use and is available for launch on personal computers with limited hardware resources.
Developers have ensured full compatibility with popular runtime environments, including llama.cpp and Ollama. Users can integrate the model into local applications, such as LM Studio, Jan, and Pi, to perform text processing tasks without accessing cloud APIs.
To optimize RAM and video memory consumption, the model is distributed in IQ4_XS format. This quantized version allows the neural network to be launched on consumer equipment while maintaining a balance between performance and response generation accuracy.
The model release is aimed at expanding the ecosystem of tools for private data work. The use of IQ4_XS quantization makes Murasaki-Backup available to a wide range of users who prefer local inference over using centralized services.
