Researchers presented the architecture of Infinite-Parameter LLM

September 17, 2026

Researchers have published a paper describing the concept of Infinite-Parameter LLM — an architecture capable of adapting model weights in real-time based on incoming data. Unlike traditional approaches, the system uses a compact hypernetwork to generate parameters "on the fly".

The main feature of the method is the ability to fine-tune and retain new knowledge without the need to expand the model's physical storage. The hypernetwork dynamically calculates weights, allowing the system to efficiently process the flow of user information while maintaining a fixed base infrastructure size.

During experiments, the authors demonstrated that this approach allows the model to adapt to new data domains with minimal computational costs. Using hypernetworks to generate weights reduces memory requirements when updating knowledge, as changes are made at the generator level, rather than through complete retraining or storing huge arrays of LoRA adapters.

The technology is oriented towards scenarios where continuous model training is required without stopping inference. Detailed mathematical calculations and performance testing results are available in the official publication. Discussion of the technical aspects of implementing the architecture is being held in the Hacker News community.

This development changes the approach to the LLM lifecycle, allowing the creation of systems with "infinite" training capacity. This eliminates the need for periodic fine-tuning to update the model's knowledge base, which is critical for dynamic environments and personal AI assistants.
