AInVFX released the IC-LoRA model for generating visual effects

The AInVFX team presented ainvfx-fluid — a specialized IC-LoRA model designed for generating realistic visual effects such as smoke, steam, and fire. The solution is developed for integration with the LTX 2.5 architecture and allows creating complex dynamic objects without the need for full physical modeling.
The principle of the model's operation is based on the interpretation of flat color keyframes, which serve as the basis for generating volume. Using ainvfx-fluid allows reducing the time for preparing visual scenes, excluding the stage of lengthy calculation of particle or fluid simulations. The model demonstrates high performance, achieving a score of 7 points on the internal performance metric when generating content in one hour.
The tool is oriented towards VFX and video generation specialists working with diffusion models. The model's weights are available for download on the Hugging Face platform, which allows integrating the technology into existing video processing pipelines based on LTX 2.5. The use of LoRA adapters provides flexibility in adjusting generation parameters while preserving the basic characteristics of the underlying model.
The implementation of such solutions allows automating the creation of secondary visual elements in video production. The transition from classical simulation methods to generative approaches based on trained weights reduces computational costs for rendering effects that require high detail texture and dynamic movement.
