MiniMax has released a budget-friendly video generation model, H3 Lite

Developers have introduced MiniMax H3 Lite — a new lightweight model for generating video from text descriptions, images, and references. The release is aimed at reducing costs in media content creation.

The new model generates clips ranging from 4 to 15 seconds in duration. Two resolutions are supported: 480P and 768P. The architecture is optimized for fast request processing with lower system requirements compared to flagship counterparts.

The cost of using the model on the Replicate platform is $0.025 per second of video for 480P resolution and $0.04 per second for 768P. This pricing makes generation accessible for mass prototyping.

The model allows content creators and application developers to integrate low-cost video generation into their products without the need to deploy heavy infrastructure.
