Claude blocks video game recreation and reverse engineering

The company Anthropic has started blocking user requests aimed at cloning and recreating video games using language models. Security changes have also affected other use cases for the service.
Platform users are reporting en masse online that routine software reverse engineering tasks are also being restricted, even when they are not malicious in nature. The model issues refusals when attempts are made to analyze third-party code or application structures.
The new security mechanisms are intended to reduce the risk of copyright infringement and prevent the creation of unlicensed copies of digital products using generative artificial intelligence. Software developers and security researchers are now facing additional barriers when solving standard technical tasks.
