OpenAI has limited the number of paid accounts per device

OpenAI has introduced new restrictions on the use of paid ChatGPT subscriptions. The company is now limiting the number of active paid accounts that can be linked to a single device and a single payment card.
According to the new policy, users who reach the set limit will not be able to sign up for new subscriptions. Furthermore, accounts affected by these restrictions are blocked from being used on a specific device. It is important to note that logging out does not automatically free up a slot for another account.
These measures are aimed at combating the practice of using multiple cheap subscriptions to bypass service usage limits. As a result, users who previously employed such schemes will be forced to switch to more expensive plans or purchase additional credits to access the neural network's capabilities.
The changes directly affect those who were actively scaling their use of the company's tools across multiple accounts. Now, to continue working at the same volume, it will be necessary to consolidate subscriptions within a single account or use official expanded service packages.
