Anthropic increased revenue 12-fold and reported a loss
November 2, 2026

Anthropic has demonstrated a sharp increase in financial performance as it prepares for an IPO. Over the last reporting period, the artificial intelligence developer increased its revenue 12-fold.
Despite the multi-fold increase in revenue, scaling the business required colossal investments in computing infrastructure and training new versions of the Claude assistant. As a result of the financial reporting, the company's operating loss amounted to 23 billion dollars.
Such financial indicators reflect a general trend in the generative artificial intelligence market, where the costs of maintaining competitiveness and purchasing chips significantly exceed current commercial receipts.
