Tencent has unveiled the Hy4 language model

The company Tencent has introduced a new language model called Hy4. The development is positioned as a solution for a wide range of natural language processing tasks and is already available for testing.

During benchmark testing, Hy4 achieved a score of 31 points on the FrontierCode 2.0 platform. According to the developers' internal data, the new model outperforms several existing counterparts across a number of key performance metrics.

In terms of pricing, the model occupies a middle ground in the market. Using Hy4 is more affordable compared to the Kimi 3.1M Pro model, although the developers note that it cannot yet compete on query costs with solutions from DeepSeek.

The arrival of Hy4 intensifies competition in the commercial language model segment in the Asian region. For practitioners and businesses, the new tool offers an alternative option for optimizing API costs while striking an optimal balance between price and performance.
