Apple released iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate 27 with updated Siri

Company Apple officially introduced new versions of operating systems: iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate 27. The key innovation was the deep integration of generative AI functions into the voice assistant Siri, as well as the introduction of visual interface improvements called Liquid Glass.
The update to macOS Golden Gate 27 marks an important stage in the platform's architectural transformation. This is the last version of the system that retains support for Rosetta for running applications compiled for Intel processors. Subsequent releases will be fully focused on the native Apple Silicon architecture, completing a multi-year transition period for software developers.
The integration of AI into Siri allows the system to perform complex multi-step commands within applications without user involvement. The Liquid Glass update affects the OS graphics engine, providing smoother interface rendering and dynamic management of GPU resources when working with local neural networks. Users can download updates through the standard Apple update center.
This release highlights the company's strategy to transfer all computational tasks to its own M-series chips. The abandonment of Rosetta support in future versions forces developers to accelerate migration to modern standards, which should improve the overall performance of the system when performing AI tasks.
