Finnish company Verda raised $189 million in a series B round

Finnish developer Verda has closed a series B funding round, raising $189 million. The investment is aimed at scaling the infrastructure and expanding the functional capabilities of the platform for corporate clients.
The funds received will be used to develop cloud capabilities and accelerate the development of new automation tools. As part of the platform update, users will get access to advanced APIs that allow integrating analytical modules into existing workflows with a delay of less than 50 ms.
The company also announced the introduction of new security protocols compliant with SOC2 Type II standards. The infrastructure update will allow processing up to 10 million requests per second, which is 4.5 times higher than the previous system version. The new tools will be available to customers within the next quarter.
Raising capital of this amount highlights the high demand for specialized data processing solutions in the European technology sector. Previously, the company had already raised $45 million in a series A round, which allowed it to occupy a market share in the segment of automated data management systems. Details of the distribution of shares and the composition of investors are being discussed in the Hacker News community.
