The volume of the Russian AI market reached 316 billion rubles

The AIANA association presented a report on the state of the Russian artificial intelligence market, estimating its volume at the end of 2025 at 316.1 billion rubles. The main driver of growth remains the corporate sector, which accounts for 71.9% of all revenue.

The largest segment of the market was AI equipment and physical infrastructure, the volume of which amounted to 98.4 billion rubles, which is equivalent to 31.1% of the total figure. In the structure of this segment, computing power dominates, necessary for training and operating models. At the same time, analysts note that energy costs and data center power infrastructure are not yet included in the overall assessment of the AI market within the current methodology.

The AIANA study emphasizes that the development of the industry requires not only software solutions, but also significant capital investments in hardware. The current structure of expenditures confirms that the hardware base is becoming the foundation for scaling all applied AI tools in the country.

The exclusion of the energy sector from analytics creates a certain gap in understanding the real cost of launching large AI projects. Given the energy intensity of modern computing clusters, experts point to the need to revise approaches to assessing infrastructure costs for more accurate forecasting of industry development in the coming years.
