Google has updated autofill in Chrome with Gmail integration

Google has introduced an update to the smart autofill feature for the Chrome browser. Built-in algorithms can now scan incoming messages in the user's inbox using Gemini with Personal Intelligence AI.

The updated tool can extract flight booking confirmations, package tracking numbers, detailed order information, and other personal data from emails. The feature works exclusively with the explicit permission of the account holder.

The new feature is designed to speed up the filling of various web forms on the internet by automatically inserting relevant data from personal email, eliminating the need to manually search for information in archives.

The integration begins rolling out today to the browser for users on supported platforms, expanding on last year's capabilities that already covered names, passport numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses from Google Account and Google Wallet.
