Microsoft is ending support for Copilot on smart TVs

Microsoft is ending support for its AI assistant Copilot on all smart TVs. This comes nearly two years after manufacturers first integrated the feature at CES 2025.

According to a report by Windows Central, the decision was made amid a shift in corporate strategy. While there was no initial official statement from hardware manufacturers like LG and Samsung, the service is expected to be discontinued on TVs later this year.

The move away from integration will affect users who were counting on using AI features directly on their TV screens. The company is reallocating resources to other areas of the assistant's development.
