DoorDash has received several hundred orders from third-party AI agents

Delivery service DoorDash has announced that it has recorded only "several hundred" orders placed using third-party AI agents. Despite the modest volumes at this stage, the company has officially confirmed its readiness to integrate with developers of autonomous assistants.
Representatives of the platform noted their openness to collaborating with the creators of such systems to automate the food ordering process. Against the backdrop of overall growth in the autonomous software agent market, the company's statistics show that mass consumer use of such tools is still in its early stages.
A practical consequence of this will be the development of infrastructure and APIs for the seamless interaction of automated assistants with major commercial delivery platforms.
