Meta has launched Muse AI avatar video calls for users in the US

Meta has given users in the US the ability to make video calls with their customized animated avatar powered by the Muse AI agent. As CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced, the new feature also includes a full voice mode for real-time interaction with the avatar via the iOS app.

The launch of this capability comes ahead of the release of a wearable device styled like a Tamagotchi. This gadget is being developed specifically to bring the digital Muse avatar into the physical world.

Integrating the animated avatar into video calls expands the company's ecosystem of personal AI tools, moving text and voice interaction into a visual format.
