Alibaba released the official Python SDK for the Model Studio platform

Alibaba company introduced dashscope-sdk-python — the official toolkit for integrating with the cloud API of the Model Studio platform. The library provides unified access to a wide range of functions, including text generation, multimodal data analysis, and speech synthesis.

The SDK includes a built-in interactive CLI assistant that allows developers to test requests and manage model settings directly from the terminal. The toolkit supports a modular architecture, providing additional packages for fine-tuning and data tokenization tasks.

Implementing the API through this SDK enables the use of Qwen family models and other solutions available in the Alibaba Cloud ecosystem. The library is designed to simplify the process of integrating AI functions into Python applications, minimizing the amount of code required for setup.

To install the package, developers just need to use the standard pip dependency manager. The project's source code is published on GitHub under an open license, allowing developers to study the internal mechanisms of interaction with cloud endpoints and make changes to the request structure.
