Cursor has introduced an SDK for developing AI agents

The Cursor team has released the Agent SDK, a toolkit that allows developers to build and deploy custom AI agents directly within their codebase. The solution is aimed at teams that need to integrate agentic systems into their workflow using TypeScript.
The SDK supports the full development lifecycle, including creating multi-agent workflows, running evals, and using event replay to debug agent behavior. Ready-made solutions can be deployed with a single command directly to Cursor's infrastructure, eliminating the need to set up third-party hosting servers.
The tool allows for the automation of complex tasks that require interaction with code and external APIs. Developers can define agent logic in a familiar programming language while maintaining control over their actions and data access within the project.
The new SDK simplifies the transition from prototyping agents to operating them in real production environments. For teams, this means the ability to quickly implement automated assistants capable of performing specific engineering tasks without the need for deep infrastructure configuration.
