Bernstein introduced for AI agent management and auditing

Developers have introduced Bernstein, an open-source governance layer designed to control the operation of AI agents. The tool is focused on ensuring security and reproducibility in environments involving multiple autonomous systems.
The system is built on a deterministic scheduler in Python that coordinates the parallel execution of multiple agents. Bernstein allows for the implementation of policy-as-code, making it possible to strictly limit agent actions within defined rules.
To ensure transparency and accountability, the platform uses a system of verifiable audit logs with HMAC chains. Each agent action is accompanied by signed receipts, which allows for tracking the history of operations and ensuring that the system's output can be reproduced under identical conditions.
The tool addresses the "black box" problem when working with autonomous agents by providing developers and companies with technical means for control and auditing. This simplifies the integration of AI solutions into mission-critical business processes where strict reporting and predictable software system behavior are required.
