Perplexity introduces Teammates AI agents for work

Startup Perplexity has announced a family of AI work agents called Teammates, aimed at the corporate environment and competing with similar solutions from OpenAI and Anthropic.

The new system runs continuously in the background and is capable of performing multiple roles simultaneously within a single workspace. The agents utilize accumulated projects, skills, and context from the company's existing services.

The tool is deeply integrated with the Perplexity Computer platform, which allows for the deployment of autonomous agents directly on the user's local device.
