Developers introduced the Buzzdrop tool for overlaying HUD interface
Developers released Buzzdrop — a Python tool for automated application of graphical elements in the style of a sci-fi delivery interface to video recordings of robots. The program analyzes the vector of object movement in the frame and integrates visual layers in real time.
The system's functionality includes generating neural panels, displaying order cards, and adding REC recording indicators. For the tool to work correctly, the ffmpeg package is required, which is responsible for processing the video stream and rendering graphical overlays on top of the original material.
The tool demonstrates high performance when processing data, receiving a score of 9 points on the internal efficiency metric when performing tasks in 3 hours. The project's source code is published in open access on the GitHub platform under a license that allows modification and use in third-party developments.
The solution is focused on creating visual effects for demonstrating the work of autonomous delivery robots. The tool automates the post-production process, replacing manual graphics drawing with algorithmic movement analysis, which reduces the time spent preparing video content for presentations and technical reports.
