Sapient introduced an autonomous system for R&D Praxist

Company Sapient released Praxist — an autonomous system designed to manage research and development processes. The tool coordinates the work of parallel research groups and automates task evaluation for project optimization.
The system uses an architecture integrated with Codex to perform complex technical operations. The main task of the platform is to minimize manual control when conducting experiments that require high accuracy and repeatability. The project gained 6.5 thousand stars on GitHub in 470 hours since its publication, demonstrating the high interest of the community in R&D automation.
The functionality of Praxist includes mechanisms for distributing the load between agents working on independent parts of a single study. The system itself evaluates intermediate results, adjusting the work vector depending on the data received. This approach allows reducing the development cycle time due to the parallel execution of stages that previously required sequential human participation.
The implementation of such systems marks the transition from using AI agents for simple tasks to managing full-fledged research cycles. R&D automation through Praxist allows companies to quickly scale scientific research, delegating routine coordination and hypothesis verification to software.
