The ComfyUI team added support for the MoGe geometry evaluation model

Developers of MoGe presented an adapted version of the monocular geometry estimation model for integration into the ComfyUI ecosystem. The tool allows users to generate depth maps and restore the 3D structure of the scene directly in the generative design workflow.

For the correct operation of the extension, it is necessary to place the model weights in the geometry_estimation directory inside the folder with the installed software. The model performs geometry estimation based on a single input image, converting it into data on the spatial arrangement of objects. This solution is focused on automating the creation of normal and depth maps for subsequent use in 3D rendering.

The integration of MoGe into ComfyUI simplifies pipelines that require an accurate understanding of the scene volume, without the need to use external scripts or third-party software. The model demonstrates high processing speed, which allows it to be used in interactive content generation sessions. The source code and weights are available for download in the project repository on the Hugging Face platform.

The emergence of such tools in ComfyUI expands the capabilities of local inference for computer vision tasks. Now users can embed complex geometric calculations into their node graphs, reducing the time spent preparing assets for 3D scenes and visual effects.
