Typst layout system has been updated to version 0.15

September 18, 2026

Developers of the Typst typesetting system released update 0.15, expanding document and data export capabilities. The new version aims to improve compatibility with web standards and increase font customization flexibility.

A key innovation is the support for variable fonts, allowing users to more finely tune font styles in documents. Support for MathML has also been added when exporting to HTML format, simplifying the display of mathematical formulas in browsers without losing semantic structure.

The system's functionality has been enhanced with the ability to create a bundle — a special function for combining multiple output files into a single package. This change simplifies the process of managing complex projects consisting of multiple components and automates the assembly of final artifacts.

Update 0.15 makes the system more competitive with classic scientific documentation preparation tools. Developers continue to develop Typst as a modern alternative to LaTeX, focusing on compilation speed and ease of integration into the web environment.
