The laya-ultrafast tool has been released for local browser automation
September 21, 2026

Developers presented laya-ultrafast — a specialized port of the automation system, optimized for devices with Apple Silicon architecture. The tool allows performing browser management tasks fully locally, eliminating the need to access external cloud APIs. The solution is based on the open Laya model, which takes on decision-making in narrow scenarios of interaction with web interfaces. The project is based on the jev-ultrafast architecture, adapting its computational processes to the specifics of Apple M-series chips. This provides low latency when processing commands and increases data privacy, as all agent actions occur within the user's local perimeter. The tool is aimed at developers who require high response speed when performing routine operations in the browser. Using local model weights allows avoiding limitations on the number of requests and token costs characteristic of cloud solutions. The project's source code is available on GitHub under an open license for self-assembly and deployment. The transition to local execution of automation agents is becoming a key trend for tasks that require high confidentiality and stability. Using specialized ports for specific hardware allows significantly reducing the system load while maintaining the accuracy of command execution.
